Recycled Book
We read bedtime stories to our children every night and this time of year is particularly exciting because of the collection of holiday themed books we have. The Christmas books are only brought out during the holiday season so they will be special and fun {and last through the years}.

Mashed Potatoes

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches
Do your pants still fit? After a week's worth of cookies, though one can never have too many sweets in their life, it seemed like the right time to toss in my sister's Sloppy Joe recipe. This recipe is based off my mom's version, but true to my sister, she follows a recipe and now I can make them right every time too! Thanks, L!

Date Pinwheels
I have a weakness for cinnamon and dates. Grandma Stella made some amazing date cookies {not this recipe} and my mom made these date pinwheels growing up. I always watched her though I never practiced making them as a kid... it wasn't a task to hand off to a child because the dough rolling takes some patience. The layers of date and cookie dough with a hint of cinnamon, parts soft and tender other parts crunchy and chewy, are to be appreciated.
