Kool-Aid Play Dough
Ms. Patty from our early childhood/family education classes shared this recipe with us and it's a great homemade play dough for kids. Use your favorite Kool-Aid flavor/scent/color to make it extra fun. The recipe makes an ample amount of dough, perfect for my three kids to share, plenty of dough to create their masterpieces.
Play Dough

In a bowl combine:
2 ¼ cups flour
½ cup salt
2 tsp cream of tartar
In a medium size pan combine:
2 cups water
2 Tbsp cooking oil
food coloring or 1 packet Kool-Aid drink mix (unsweetened)
Bring water, oil and food coloring/Kool-Aid to a boil. Remove from heat and immediately add flour mixture. Stir until combined. Mixture will be lumpy. Remove mixture from pan and let cool a bit on counter. Knead until smooth. Sore in zip lock bag or sealed container.
Makes enough to fit snugly in an eight ounce Cool Whip container.
